Feeding Time! (Prototype)

Big Idea:
You start off as a dog waking up in your home, nothing out of the ordinary. You get fed, go on your morning walk, basically be a dog until you're out of energy. Through this, we learn of the owner’s daily routine, likes and dislikes.
Everything begins to take more and more effort until one day you wake up – but as a spirit of yourself.
Our goal is to help our owner back onto their routine, help them through grief so they can take care of themselves again. We give a piece of ourselves to remind/motivate our owner to complete an action – which gets easier and easier, contrasting the beginning of the game. This happens until the owner regains their full heart and can live life normally again. We then are able to access the rainbow bridge and cross over to the other side and play with a bunch of other dogs as we wait for the day we are reunited with our human.

In this prototype, I'm trying to convey the feeling of a simple task (eating) becoming harder and harder through a simple mechanic.
